Dependency

Now that you have a combined rating of 30% or more ($508 each month), you may be eligible for additional monthly compensation from the VA.

An eligible dependent may be:

• your spouse
• children under 18 (including step-children)
• children over 18 who are enrolled in college full-time
• adult children permanently incapable of self-support
• a dependent parent.

Please note that the VA may also require you to submit a copy of your marriage certificate and birth certificates for dependent children.
