The short version

You do not need drive mapping, a sync client, or any new VA permission. Open a browser inside Citrix, sign into your OSDRI account, and use SharePoint's Upload button. That is the whole trick.

This was tested end to end on 2026-08-31: a file created inside the VA Citrix desktop, uploaded through Chrome, landed in SharePoint and synced back down to a laptop in under ten seconds.

One thing on this page is NOT settled: exactly which folder the eFolder should land in. Three different OSDRI documents currently name three different destinations. Read the "Where does it go" section before you do this for a real client, and follow whatever your team lead confirms. Everything else here is proven.

Before you start

• [ ] You can log into Citrix and open VBMS (see the START HERE page if not)
• [ ] You know the client's case number and VA claim number
• [ ] You have signed into your OSDRI Microsoft account at least once inside Citrix

Part 1: Get the eFolder out of VA

Step 1. Open eFolder Express inside Citrix

In the Citrix desktop, open a browser and go to:

https://efolder.cf.ds.va.gov/

This tool only exists inside Citrix. It has no public address, so it will never load from your normal laptop browser. That is expected, not a fault.

eFolder Express is explicitly authorized to you. Your VA affiliate grant names it by name, alongside VBMS and Caseflow. You are not working around anything by using it.

Step 2. Request the eFolder

Search the VA claim number, request the download, and wait for it to build. Large files take a while. The result is a ZIP named roughly LASTNAME, FIRST - NNNN.zip.

Step 3. Save it inside Citrix

Let it download to the Citrix desktop's own Downloads folder. That is fine as a temporary holding spot. It is going straight back out in Part 2.
