Generally, you can expect to receive a retroactive deposit within 15 days from the time you receive a favorable decision. If you don’t receive a deposit within the next 15 days, you can call the Veterans Help Line at 1-800-827-1000 for more information. They are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 9pm.
You may submit a request for a financial audit in your case to determine whether the VA made a mistake with regard to your retroactive award. You can reach out to the Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS) and submit an inquiry by visiting **** Customer Service (dfas.mil), or you may call DFAS directly at (888) 332-7411, and select option 1.
