Since you are already receiving a non service connected pension, we would not want to risk having you receive overpayments and therefore owing the VA money while we try to get you to at least [70% VA disability] (which is what is required to supersede your current pension payment). You cannot receive both a pension and a VA disability- the VA will automatically award you the higher paying benefit, which in your case would likely be the pension.
